The fully enclosed design feels secure, no laser light leaks. The 40W diode cuts and engraves wood and acrylic cleanly, and I love not needing goggles. Setup was smooth and intuitive.

Using the default 3 mm plywood preset, cuts were clean and crisp. The Pin-point positioning system works well enough, though it can feel slower on awkward shapes.

I appreciated the five flame sensors and the emergency stop, but the emergency button is a little awkward to reach since it's placed at the back.

When a USB key failed, xTool sent replacement parts within days. Warranty was honored smoothly.

I missed having a top-down camera for layout. The Pin-point system is clever but slower when doing irregular or batch layouts.

You pay a premium compared to open diode lasers. But features like enclosure, exchangeable laser heads, and safety add value.
