Customer ratings
Unmatched cutting power
This machine sliced through 20 mm plywood with ease. Comparable to my old CO2 laser but simpler to maintain.
Great engraving detail
Despite the high power, it engraves photos with crisp contrast. Better than my Atomstack 70W.
Huge work area, huge footprint
The 830 × 800 mm area is amazing, but the machine takes up an entire workbench. Needs lots of dedicated space.
Open frame is dangerous
Performance is great, but being Class 4 open-frame means you MUST build an enclosure and fume extraction system.
Review 5
The autofocus and integrated air assist save me so much setup time. Great workflow features.
Not beginner-friendly
Raw power and massive area are tempting, but without prior laser experience this is too risky to recommend.
Excellent build quality
The steel rollers and cable management are professional-grade. Feels very sturdy compared to my old engraver.

Conclusion

The Sculpfun S70 Max is a top-tier choice for experienced users needing maximum power and a huge work area. Its performance rivals entry-level CO2 lasers, but the mandatory investment in safety systems like an enclosure and ventilation is critical for safe operation.
