Review of the Sculpfun S70 Max. A powerful 70W diode laser with a massive 830x800mm work area, 600mm/s speed, and autofocus for pro-level cutting and engraving.
This machine sliced through 20 mm plywood with ease. Comparable to my old CO2 laser but simpler to maintain.
Despite the high power, it engraves photos with crisp contrast. Better than my Atomstack 70W.
The 830 × 800 mm area is amazing, but the machine takes up an entire workbench. Needs lots of dedicated space.
Performance is great, but being Class 4 open-frame means you MUST build an enclosure and fume extraction system.
The autofocus and integrated air assist save me so much setup time. Great workflow features.
